·         Email - faculty/staff can communicate to the community via email

 

·         Phone Calls - faculty/staff can communicate to the community via the school telephone system,  personal cell phones or home phone

 

·         SchoolFusion/Web – faculty and staff utilize the school’s website (hosted by School Fusion) to post syllabuses, homework, announcements, important documents, etc.

 

·         MMS - faculty/staff use the MMS grading platform on the web to post student grades. Parents can access grades via the “Parent Portal

 

·         Report Cards & Progress Reports

 

·         Digital Portfolios - faculty/staff post student completion records of PBGR assignments

 

·         Administrative Newsletters – administration posts important news for parents/students via occasional newsletter (print or digital)

·         Course Syllabi – class syllabi are posted on teacher’s web pages for their courses

 

·         ALERT NOW Messaging – the ALERT NOW messaging system contacts all phone numbers in the database to contact parents or guardians of current/ upcoming important events

 

·         Student Handbook – the handbook is the rules and guidelines put forth and approved by the Westerly School Committee regarding student conduct

 

·         Faculty Handbook - the handbook is the rules and guidelines put forth and approved by the Westerly School Committee and the WTA regarding faculty conduct

 

·         Program of Studies – listing of all courses offered at WHS and the pre-requisites for each course if necessary

 

·         Westerly Sun Articles – reporters receive articles on happenings at WHS

 

·         Guidance Newsletters – the Guidance Department publishes monthly newsletter of upcoming college visits, financial aid nights, etc.

Inbound Communications

·         Email - clicking on teacher name will access their SchoolFusion webpage or email link.  Clicking on teacher name in MMS “Parent Portal” will also access an email link.

 

·         Voicemail – phone messages to faculty/staff is handled by voicemail (for those who have a phone extension)

 

·         Phone Calls – faculty/staff can be contacted by phone by calling the school phone number:                    (401) 596-2109

 

·         Postal Mail – postal mail is received daily at the main office
